Yext has added two prominent executives from world-leading SaaS technology powerhouses to its Board of Directors. Phil Fernandez and Jim Steele will play key roles as Yext continues to innovate and build upon its global leadership within the emerging Location Data Management space.

"Yext's vision and innovative spirit are second to none," said Phil Fernandez, co-founder of Marketo. "The company is defining an entirely new SaaS category, and I look forward to helping Yext realize its tremendous potential."

Phil Fernandez co-founded Marketo, a leader in digital marketing automation software, and served as Chairman and CEO until his recent retirement. Fernandez brings with him more than 35 years of experience leading breakout technology companies. In addition to overseeing Marketo's successful IPO, Fernandez recently oversaw the company's acquisition by Vista Equity Partners, driving company growth and significant gains for shareholders. Phil holds a bachelor's degree from Stanford University, and he sits on the boards of PTC and several growth-stage private companies.

Joining Fernandez on the Yext Board is another industry legend, Jim Steele. Steele currently serves as President and Chief Revenue Officer of InsideSales.com, the industry's first AI-powered predictive sales acceleration platform. Prior to joining InsideSales, Steele served at Salesforce for 12 years as Chief Customer Officer and President of Worldwide Sales and Operations where he helped grow the company from $25 million to more than $5 billion in revenue. Steele brings more than 35 years of business experience with some of the B2B tech sector's biggest players, including Ariba and IBM. Steele holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University.

"I'm excited to join the Yext Board during such a high-growth time in the Location Data Management space," said Steele. "Yext's location technology solutions solve a critical need for businesses around the world, and I look forward to leveraging my SaaS go-to-market and customer success expertise to help Yext build upon its success."

"Adding Phil and Jim to our Board of Directors helps put Yext on the map," said Howard Lerman, co-founder and CEO of Yext. "Their experience and advice will prove invaluable as we shape the future of location in the intelligent era of technology."

This announcement comes on the heels of several key additions to Yext's executive team in the past six months, including Chief People Officer Brian "Skip" Schipper, who previously led global Human Resources for Twitter, EVP and General Counsel Ho Shin, most recently of Millennial Media, and Chief Information Officer Christopher Nelson, who joined Yext from machine data management platform Splunk.

Yext's innovation in Location Data Management has included several new products in recent months including Yext Reviews and the Yext Location Cloud Platform. Yext Reviews is a comprehensive review management solution that empowers businesses to generate and leverage location reviews to reach customers and improve searchability. The Yext Location Cloud Platform enables businesses to build integrations with Yext and gives them centralized control of their location data across their organizations.
