The Yext Content Photo Server is Yext's backend system for storing and serving high resolution photos in downstream applications, like Pages. Images can be stored using photo field types (i.e., Complex Photo, Photo, Photo Gallery, Complex Photo Gallery) — once stored, images are accessible by a unique reference URL which can be retrieved via API. To optimize for display and page load speed, the Photo Server automatically creates a set of normalized thumbnail images in different sizes to ensure compatibility with all devices. Thanks to the Photo Server, developers can confidently build content-rich Pages that load high quality images quickly to ensure strong user experiences.
