Yext Content leverages entities to manage and store information. Entities can be anything from an event to FAQs. As information around these entities change, you need to be sure your website reflects those changes as soon as possible.

Unlike a headless CMS, Yext Pages handles integration for you by leveraging Yext Content. Simply set up a stream using a low-code interface directly in your frontend. When you hit deploy, Pages will set up a data stream to programmatically generate pages based on the relevant records found in Content. Whenever your data changes, Pages will automatically update the relevant web pages in seconds.

Streams is Yext's cutting-edge architecture developed to streamline the delivery of data from Content to consumer-facing systems. Using Streams, developers can leverage our flexible, low-latency infrastructure to push and pull data, and traverse relationships across entities to power fast and dynamic Pages.

The Yext Content Photo Server is Yext's backend system for storing and serving high resolution photos in downstream applications, like Pages. Images can be stored using photo field types (i.e., Complex Photo, Photo, Photo Gallery, Complex Photo Gallery) — once stored, images are accessible by a unique reference URL which can be retrieved via API. To optimize for display and page load speed, the Photo Server automatically creates a set of normalized thumbnail images in different sizes to ensure compatibility with all devices. Thanks to the Photo Server, developers can confidently build content-rich Pages that load high quality images quickly to ensure strong user experiences.
